The Finance Ministry has announced plans to begin payment of outstanding matured bonds on March 13, 2023.
According to the Ministry, the initial instruction covers coupon and principal payments on bonds maturing on February 6 and 13th, 2023.
According to the Ministry, bondholders who fall into one of two categories will receive their payments within 48 hours.
The statement was issued by the Ministry after the bondholders gave the government 48 hours to pay their coupons and principal or face their wrath.
It stated that the payment date for subsequent married bonds would be communicated in due course.
