Former Agric Minister has no chance at the presidency, he’s out of the race – Analyst

March 16, 2023
ebo-amoah

Former Agriculture Minister Dr. Afriyie Akoto, according to political analyst Michael Ebo Amoah, has no chance of being elected as the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate (NPP).

The analyst stated that the aspiring presidential candidate is not part of those who are the front runners in the NPP primaries.

MP fires back at Minority over economic recovery criticism

He made the remarks in a recent interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm.

According to Michael Ebo Amoah, the NPP would need to elect Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a candidate to have a better chance of winning in 2024.

It would be politically suicidal, in his opinion, for the NPP to vote for anyone other than Dr. Bawumia.

He added the former minister was using his position as minister to sustain his political ambition.

He said the aspiring candidate at a point begged the president to keep him in office so he could use that as an opportunity to put things in order.
