Ghanaian Youtuber Nii Yemoh has revealed that the inspiration behind creating his YouTuve channel was a blessing in disguise.
In an up-close and personal interview with Daniel Dadson on Rainbow Entertainment, the Youtuber disclosed that getting into YouTube came by ‘accident’.
“Becoming a YouTuber was a blessing in disguise,” he explained. It was an accident that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I used to be an IT expert, but I got tired of it and decided to buy a camera and go into photography. I got bored and learned how to edit videos. Following that, I began editing wedding videos. I went on YouTube and saw a video that piqued my interest, which led me to their website, where I became intrigued by what I saw. I saw that they had a couple of challenges, so I decided to go for it, and the rest is history.”
He revealed that he had planned to use his cousin and fiancee for the content, but the cousin was not interested while his fiancee was.
He later used himself and his fiancee, who is now his wife, in the videos.
The YouTuber explained that it was strange for him at first because it was a new trend.
“People insulted us, attacked us, and called us names for what we did,” he said. They claimed it was not nice and that YouTube was not for us. But we did not give up and did not let the negative comments of others distract us from doing what we believed in.”
“Our growth was slow, but because we stayed true to ourselves in documenting our lives, people felt alive and began sharing our stories. “Our content is an inspiration,” he added.
