One of the four aspiring candidates who want to represent the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ernest Kwaku Kobeah, has withdrawn from the race.
The businessman had picked forms to contest and was vetted on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
But he has announced that he has withdrawn from the race.
He has since declared his support for former President John Dramani Mahama.
When asked by journalists why he decided to withdraw he said “There is no issue,” he told journalists after facing the Committee.
“Just [that] I need to come back tomorrow [Wednesday]. Everything is fine and successful.”
The party has scheduled Saturday, May 13 on which to go to polls to elect the man to lead its presidential campaign in next year’s elections.
