On Monday, April 3, 2023, the Vetting Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western Region is expected to vet aspiring parliamentary candidates for the Jomoro Constituency.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the incumbent Member of Parliament, and Francis Akatia Kwaido are running for the Jomoro seat.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the MP, stated in an interview, “I will go for vetting on Monday and I urged my constituents to pray and stand by me.”
“I am contesting with another man. In the year 2019, when I contested, we were three, two men, Francis Akatia Kwaido, Nda Blay Armah and myself. The delegates were over 1,800. Mr. Nda Blay Armah had four votes, Mr. Francis Akatia Kwaido had 188 votes, and I had the rest of the votes in the last primaries”, she explained.
Madam Affo-Toffey said, “my people know I have done well looking at what I went through in court. They know I have done well, and they will vote for me”.
