A section of the pedestrian walkway at Accra’s Spanner Junction is gradually turning into a dump site.
Rainbowradioonline.com has discovered that some faceless individuals dump their trash under the walkway, particularly in the evening.
Some regular users of the walkway have complained bitterly about the situation and have asked the authorities in charge to address it.
Several of them were perplexed as to why people would prefer to dispose of their garbage beneath the walkway.
As a result, some have proposed placing dustbins at strategic locations where people can dispose of their trash.
Others, meanwhile, have complained about the presence of child beggars, the majority of whom are foreign nationals.
These beggars, according to them, continue to multiply while authorities remain unconcerned.
