One of the aspiring presidential candidates in the upcoming presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has filed his nomination.
The former trade minister filed his nomination on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the party’s headquarters.

The aspiring candidate pledged to provide sterling leadership if he is elected as the candidate of the party.
In a brief post on Facebook, he wrote “Friends, today, Monday, l officially filed my nomination forms to contest as flagbearer of my party, NPP, at the party headquarters in Accra.

I pledge to offer sterling leadership in humility as we embark on this transformative journey together.
I will listen and join hands with you to make Ghana the beacon of development in Africa and beyond.

Thank you for your unflinching support.”
A few days ago, the aspirant launched a fundraising platform to finance his campaign.
This was done on Thursday, June 8, 2023.

He launched the ‘Ketewa Biara Nsua AlanCash donation‘ platform, which is expected to raise a monthly average of GHS10 from over 500,000 donors within a six-to-18-month period.
He appealed to supporters to support his campaign.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Kyerematen said the idea and design of the initiative were inspired by the need to promote inclusiveness where people were committed to the process of choosing who governed them.
He said, “I want to run a government by the people, for the people and of the people.”
“Should anyone support this campaign with even 1 cedi, God would bless him by giving him good governance,” he said.
He added “If you are really interested in becoming president, then step down from government and go look for your own funds for your campaign,” he said.
