Abednego Tetteh, the top goal scorer in Ghana’s Premier League this season, says he was disappointed by Bechem United’s coach, Kasim Mingle Ocansey, criticising him for his goal-scoring abilities.
Coach Kasim Mingle Ocansey of Bechem United has made a dig at Bibiani Gold Stars’ Abedenago Tetteh.
The Premier League coach believes the player deserves to be termed a goal king even though he does not score original goals.
He believes that any great striker and player must always score goals on their own strength.
For the first time, the player expressed his disappointment in the coach, especially since Mr. Mingle was the first to give him a chance as a player.
”Coach Mingle is the best person to tell you why he took a dig at me,” he said on Rainbow Sports. We have all gone to work and somebody surpasses your player to be declared goal king and you go about claiming that I should score on my own strength, you should be the best person to explain why you said that”.
”I have nothing to say to him. His player scores goals on his own strength but I do not? He has no regard for the Premier League. That’s what I’ll tell him. It’s unfortunate if someone scores 18 goals and you make such insensitive comments.”
”I was disappointed in him. This was because I had lost some respect for him. I admire him a lot, and I did not expect him to make these unfortunate comments. I’m hurt, but there’s nothing I can do about it,” he added.
