The Asokwa constituency chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Rev. Benjamin Ofosu Nkrumah, has guaranteed Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of their full support.
He stated that all of the executives and polling station executives are ready to give him 100% of the votes in the upcoming presidential primary.
He refuted claims that the Asokwa constituency belongs to Dr Bawumia rather than one of the aspiring flagbearers.
Rev. Benjamin Ofosu Nkrumah made this assurance during the official opening of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s Ashanti regional campaign office complex at Asokwa Millennium Plaza in Kumasi.
The Vice President, for his part, informed the delegates that a political party is a collective enterprise that requires the support of individual members, and as such, he has contributed to the party’s efforts since 2008.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia believes that no single person can take credit for the success of a new patriotic party.
He took advantage of the opportunity to urge delegates to give him the most votes in the upcoming presidential primary.
