Ghana’s Black Stars have been drawn in Group I for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in 2026.
In the qualifications, the national squad will compete against Mali, Madagascar, the Central African Republic, the Comoros, and Chad.
Ghana was placed in Pot 2 ahead of the draw, which took place during the CAF 45th Ordinary General Assembly in Ivory Coast, due to being outside the top ten in the FIFA Rankings.
According to the rules, there will be nine groups of six teams, with all group winners qualifying for the World Cup.
The next global tournament will be hosted jointly by the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada.
The four best runners-up will compete in a mini-tournament, with the winner qualifying for an intercontinental play-off.
