The National Football Philosophy, which depicts Ghana’s Football DNA, was unveiled on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
The event was held at the Africa Trade House Conference Room in Accra.
Ex-footballers, coaches, members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, and football administrators attended the launch of the Ghana Football Philosophy.
According to GFA president Kurt Okraku, the document was put together by the FA’s Technical Directorate, Bernhard Leppert, with contributions from technocrats, National and Club coaches (past and present), Administrators, Players, Referees, Supporters, Coach Instructors, Coach Educators, Politicians, Traditional Authorities, Women in Football, and sports media personalities, among others.
Speaking at the event, Kurt Okraku made it clear that the Football Philosophy will provide the country with an identity and direction.
“We shall be looking for long-term success; the DNA will provide us with an identity and directions; it will ensure the proper path for our player; it will clearly defend our attractive style of play; and most importantly, it will also speak about our culture.”
The Ghana Football DNA will be the coaching and playing philosophy of Ghana Football.
