Deborah Sayram Adablah, a former National Service Person, was fined GHc6,000 by the Accra High Court after the name of First Atlantic Bank was removed from the case.

Adablah filed a lawsuit against Ernest Kwasi Nimako, the bank’s former Chief Finance Officer, alleging sexual harassment among other things.

The bank filed a counter-motion to have the bank’s name struck from the record.

On Friday, July 21, the Court presided over by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu dismissed the motion and removed the name of First Atlantic Bank from the case.

Following the ruling, lawyers for the Bank (2nd Defendant) requested a cost of GHc50,000, but lawyers for the Plaintiff (Deborah Adablah) offered GHc5,000.

As a result, Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu awarded the bank a cost of GHc6,000 against the plaintiff.

Meanwhile, Kwasi Nimako’s lawyers have filed a contempt case against Adablah for certain publications that were prohibited by the court.
