The inflation rate for July has jumped from the previous mark of 42.5% to 43.1%.
This is the third consecutive time the figure has increased.
The government Statistician Prof. Samuel Kobina Annim at a press briefing said food prices rose significantly to 55.0%.
That of non-food items was at 33.8%.
The new figures were announced on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
He has advised that we blend monetary assistance with interventions in the real sector as a strategy to address inflation.
For the regions, the North East Region recorded the highest inflation of 64.0%, while the Greater Accra Region recorded the lowest inflation of 31.8%.
