The Kasoa District Police Command has detained a guy in his 30s for allegedly hitting two people with a hammer.
During an argument between some tenants, the perpetrator reportedly assaulted the victims.
One of the attack victims is currently being treated at Kasoa’s Mother and Child Hospital after suffering critical injuries.
The victim, Edmond Ampomah, who is still in the hospital, nearly died when his head was pounded with a hammer by the suspect, Kwabena Brenya, a commercial driver.
The victim told Rainbow Radio Reporter Oheneba Ademah that an altercation erupted between the victim’s brother’s wife and the suspect, who happen to be co-tenants at Otacity, a suburb of Akweley in Kasoa.
Some family members chose the victim to attend to the problem and have it resolved.
However, suspect Brenya’s temper rose and he allegedly attacked the victims who were caught off guard with a hammer.
