The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, has described the alleged killing of the former regional vice chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as cruel and shocking.
The MP has therefore called on the Police to investigate the matter and bring the offenders to book.
The former executive of the NDC, Mr. Williams Akanyele, was allegedly shot dead by unknown assailants.
He was reportedly shot dead by the attackers in his bedroom at his family house on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
It remains unknown what led to the incident, but Dr. Apaak, who expressed shock at the incident, is demanding a probe into it and the offenders brought to book.
He extended his condolences to the bereaved family and the NDC.
His tweet read “Shocking. UE regional secretariat of NDC announced with sorrow that our immediate past regional Vice Chairmen, Mr. Williams Akanyele, was shot dead yesterday, 6/9/2023, in his bedroom, family house, in Nabango-Chiana/Paga constituency. The criminals must be found and punished”.
