Kurt E.S. Okraku has won his re-election bid to continue his stewardship as the Ghana Football Association president.
The 2023 Ghana Football Association elections were held in Temale on October 5, despite a court injunction filed by King Faisal’s Alhaji Grusah.
The elections received 120 delegates instead of the anticipated 124.
Out of the 120 votes recorded, 117 delegates voted yes in favour of Kurt Okraku, 2 voted no, and 1 person refused to cast his ballot.
Kurt Okraku ran unopposed after his opponent, George Afriyie, was disqualified for failing to meet the GFA’s eligibility rules.
Kurt Okraku’s new term as Ghana Football Association president will finish in October 2027, and he will not run for re-election because the present constitution only allows for two four-year terms.
