Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku has promised to work together with his opponent, George Afriyie.
Kurt Okraku made this statement after his re-election as president of the Ghana Football Association.
Delivering his victory speech, Tamale Kurt Okraku, who once said he would not work with his enemies (opponents), said he would bring George Afriyie back to the fold to help develop the game.
“Two days ago, I had a meeting with my colleague and brother, George Afriyie, and I just have one message for him. We can only build the Ghanaian game when we stay together.”
“The football cake is a very big one, and everybody, including my brother George, has a role to play. I will reach out to George, and I will bring him back home,” Kurt Okraku said.
Kurt Okraku contested unopposed after his opponent, George Afriyie, was disqualified for failing to meet the requirements as stated in the GFA’s regulations.
Kurt Okraku’s new tenure as the Ghana Football Association president will end in October 2027.
