Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama Sporting Club will be competing in Group D in the ongoing 2023/2024 CAF Champions League.
Medeama qualified for the group stages of the CAF Champions League after eliminating Millo FC and AC Horoya in the first and second stages of the qualifiers.
The Ghanaian club will face a tough test against record holders of the competition Al Ahly of Egypt, Tanzanian’s Young Africans and CR Belouizdad of Algeria.
The draw was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Friday, October 6, 2023, and the first games will be played from November 24-25.
CAF Champions League Draw:
Group A: Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Pyramids FC (Egypt), TP Mazembe (DR Congo), FC Nouadhibou (Mauritania).
Group B: Wydad AC (Morocco), Simba SC (Tanzania), ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Jwaneng Galaxy (Botswana)
Group C: Espérance ST (Tunisia), Petro de Luanda (Angola), Al-Hilal Omdurman (Sudan), Étoile du Sahel (Tunisia).
Group D: Al Ahly SC (Egypt), CR Belouizdad (Algeria), Young Africans (Tanzania), Medeama SC (Ghana).
