Samuel Koku Anyidoho, a former deputy general secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has advised former President John Dramani Mahama not to choose Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman, as his running mate in the 2024 election.
Koku said that Asiedu Nketiah is a dangerous individual whose campaigning for the job would never materialise and that the NDC will undoubtedly lose the next election if this decision is made.
He made the remarks in a series of tweets on X (formerly Twitter).
He was optimistic John Dramani Mahama will not make the mistake of settling on the former general secretary of the party who is now the National Chairman.
Koku dismissed Asiedu Nketiah’s running mate’s ambition in a series of tweets, highlighting the political wrongness of such a decision.
“Asiedu-Nketiah has obviously become
a heavy albatross around the neck of the
NDC & lobbying for running mate shall
NEVER materialize. There is NO WAY John
Mahama will make a mistake and allow
dangerous Mosquito to become running
mate because that will lead to a guaranteed
loss.”
“Let John Mahama make a HUGE political
miscalculation again as he is wont to do
and dare allow Mosquito to mislead him;
and he will make ignoble history as the first
one-term President to have lost 2 other
elections in a disastrous manner,” he stated.
