Former Asante Kotoko captain and Black Stars player Joe Debrah has been reported dead.
The sad news was confirmed by former Black Stars captain and the General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, Anthony Baffoe, on Friday, October 27, 2023.
Anthony Baffoe, in a post on X, formerly Twitter, cited by Rainbow Sports, posted a picture of the legend telling the world that he has passed.
“Joe Debrah Asante Kotoko and Ghana legend have passed. Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him, we shall return. Rest well, Big Joe. Please
Let’s take care of our health since we don’t know tomorrow,” he wrote.
Joe Debrah was a household name in Ghana football in the 1990s when he led Asante Kotoko to several glories in Ghana football.
