The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described as disappointing the report of the Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP) on the latter’s investigations into alleged corrupt acts on the part of former Minister of State, Charles Adu Boahen.
It is the view of the NDC that the OSP’s actions can best be described as a cover-up.
The party has therefore asked Ghanaians to reject the OSP’s report.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 31, and signed by the National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC maintained that the investigation by Anas Aremeyaw Anas against the former minister was nothing far from extortion, a clear violation of the nation’s laws.
He served notice that the NDC will prosecute Adu Boahen should the party win the 2024 general elections.
“The conduct of Charles Adu Boahen constitutes corruption of monumental proportions and must not go unpunished.”
“We wish to serve notice that the next NDC government shall institute criminal investigations into this matter to prosecute all those found culpable.”
