Dr. Alex Ampaabeng, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate for the Juaboso constituency, has pledged to deliver victory for the ruling party in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
The policy analyst was elected on Saturday, December 2, 2023, as the NPP’s candidate in their just-ended orphan constituency parliamentary elections by accumulating 372 votes, while his competitor, Martha Kwayie Manu, secured 275 votes.
Speaking after being declared the winner, he thanked the delegates and sent a message to the National Democratic Congress and Kwabena Mintah Akandoh that he was coming for the parliamentary seat.
“I thank the delegate and also my competitor, Martha Kwayie Manu, for the good work she has done because I know it is not easy. If the NPP breaks the 8, it will start in Juaboso when I win the parliamentary seat,” Dr. Alex Ampaabeng said as aired on Rainbow Radio.
Martha Kwayie Manu also accepted her defeat and pledged her support to Dr. Alex Ampaabeng in ensuring victory for the NPP in the 2024 elections.
“The majority of the delegates have spoken, and Alex Ampaabeng has won the race. It’s a victory for the NPP. You all know that the aim of the NPP is to win the 2024 elections, and that is what we are all going to do.”
