The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has published the 55-man provisional squad for the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast in 2024.
Out of the 55-man provisional squad published on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, the names of 11 players from the Ghana Premier League have been seen in the list.
Five players from Medeama, one player from Asante Kotoko, two players from the Great Olympics, two players from Dreams FC, and one player from Nations FC have been included in the list.
Hamidu Fatawu, Jonathan Sowah, Abdulai Nurudeen, Derrick Fordjour, Felix Kyei, John Antwi, Godfred Kingsley Atuahene, Richmond Lamptey, Emmanuel Antwi, Benjamin Asare, and Nations FC’s Razak Simpson completed the list of local players.
The list will be reduced to 27, as already announced by CAF before the start of the 2023 AFCON.
