Member of Parliament for the Berekum East Constituency in the Bono Region Region, Nelson Kyeremeh, has picked up his nomination to maintain his position as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate for the 2024 parliamentary elections.
The nomination form for Nelson Kyeremeh was picked on his behalf by the patrons and council of elders within the Berekum East Constituency at the party’s office on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
Stephen Gyau, the person who led the delegation to pick the forms, charged party executives to remain neutral towards all the parliamentary candidate aspirants in order not to create division in the NPP.
“We are urging the executives to be fair and not rally behind one candidate because we want unity in the party for 2024. They should let the candidates know that they are neutral in what they do.”
“I’m also telling the supporters of various candidates to be mindful of their utterances because if you disrespect someone and the person wins, how will you be able to approach such a person?” Stephen Gyau said on Rainbow Radio Accra.
Adjei Amankwah, the Berekum East Constituency Secretary for the New Patriotic Party, stated that the leaders of the party within Berekum East are poised to maintain the parliamentary seat.
“The vision of the party is to maintain the seat in this constituency and also break the 8 in the presidential elections, and we will do everything in our power as executives to preserve the unity in the party for the big elections in 2024.”
