Auntie Muni Waake, a well-known Ghanaian waakye vendor, has died.
The deceased’s family verified her death.
Auntie Imoro Muniratu was the initial name of the latter waakye vendor.
On Wednesday, January 3, the 72-year-old died following a brief illness at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) in Accra.
Auntie Muni’s son, Alhassan Abdul Arafat, revealed this in an interview.
He disclosed that his mother had been ill and had been sent to the SSNIT Hospital at first.
However, problems occurred, causing Auntie Muni to request discharge.
“After two days, we realised she was still not feeling well, so we rushed her to the University of Ghana Medical Centre for medical attention, and this morning at 3 am, she passed away,” Arafat said.
