Ghanaian legend Rev. Osei Kofi has urged Ghanaians not to give up hope on the Black Stars ahead of the crucial 2023 African Cup of Nations game against Mozambique.
According to the two-time AFCON winner, the Black Stars showed against the Pharaohs of Egypt that they still have the fight in them and can qualify out of the group.
The 1965 AFCON top scorer told Rainbow Radio Accra that he hasn’t lost hope yet in the team because a win against Mozambique can secure a knockout phase qualification for one of the best third-placed teams.
“We can qualify as one of the best third-placed teams if we win our last game against Mozambique. The performance against Egypt was very impressive and gives me hope, so we all shouldn’t give up on the team.”
“We have a special connection with Egypt because of the decision of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to marry an Egyptian lady, so we mostly beat them when we meet. We shouldn’t make any mistakes in our last game, and we might qualify,” Rev. Osei Kofi said.
