The Bank of Ghana’s Monetary Policy Committee has reduced the main lending rate to 29 percent.
The central bank cut the interest rate from 30 percent to 25 percent.
Dr. Ernest Addison, Chairman of the Committee, made the statement following its 116th meeting.
He explained that the decision was made following a sustained drop in inflation from 54% in December 2022 to 23% in December 2023.
