Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has appealed to Ghanaian voters to vote for him as the next president.
He said their vote will allow him to implement policies that will transform the country.
Addressing the nation on Wednesday, February 7, in Accra, the Vice President likened himself to a driver’s mate with limited powers.
“As Vice-President, I am like a driver’s mate. But if, by the Grace of God, you make me President, I will be in the driver’s seat with constitutionally mandated authority to pursue my vision and my priorities.”
“Clearly, the initial conditions that we inherited in 2017 are not the same as will be in 2025. Therefore, my priorities will be different. We have done many good things and I will be seeking to build on them,” he said.
He further pledged to create a government that would accommodate everyone to tap into the resourcefulness and talents of our people irrespective of our different ethnic, political and religious backgrounds.
This will help channel energies into building the kind of country that assures a food-self-sufficient, safe, prosperous, and dignified future for all Ghanaians, he noted.
Dr Bawumia also promised to create sustainable jobs with meaningful pay for all.
His administration he said will create an environment where every Ghanaian will participate fully in the fourth industrial revolution using systems and data.
