A pregnant woman who has been identified as Serwaa has met her untimely death following the ongoing demolition exercise at Gomoa Buduburam.

Details emerging indicate that the pregnant woman was resting when the demolition was ongoing.
Her one-year-old son is also in a critical condition, battling to survive.
According to a source, the young pregnant woman and her son were asleep when the operator of the machine allegedly collapsed the building on them.
The mother died upon arrival at St. Gregory Hospital, but the child is still alive and battling for survival.
The residents of Gomoa Buduburam have expressed their displeasure over the demolition exercise and asked the government to intervene.
The residents also stated they are now homeless, a situation they described as worrying and pathetic.
The traditional authorities at Gomoa Fetteh are overseeing the demolition exercise after the government handed over the lands to them.
