Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communications for the Dr. Bawumia campaign, criticized Global InfoAnalytics’ survey results, which suggest John Dramani Mahama is ahead of Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming December polls.
Addressing a press conference, Dennis Miracles Aboagye averred that the survey results do not accurately represent the true reflection of the situation on the ground.
He described the survey as incomplete and insufficient in providing accurate insights into the opinions of the electorate, indicating inconsistencies in its methodology and execution.
“There is not a single organisation that is an authority over electoral polling and we have about four to six of them that we work with and unfortunately this particular poll you referenced is one that we have never received the indices that they use.
“We don’t have much that we can do about that particular one because it doesn’t tell much and looks scanty and really doesn’t tell of a polling that was done properly.”
The latest survey by the research firm says John Dramani Mahama, is leading the flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in the race to lead the country in 2025.
The results stated that Mr Mahama leads with 54.3 per cent followed by Dr Bawumia, 34.9 per cent; the leader and founder of Movement for Change (M4C), Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has 7.5 per cent, while the leader of the New Force Movement (NFM), Nana Kwame Bediako, has 2.3 per cent and others, one per cent.
The poll using weighted polling data, said among first-time voters, Mr Mahama led Dr Bawumia with 52 per cent as against 33 per cent and among non-first-time voters, Mr Mahama led Dr Bawumia with 55 per cent to 35 per cent.
