After their impressive performance at the 2024 Marrakech World Para Athletics (WPA) Grand Prix, Ghana’s para athletics team is set to return home on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
The 2024 Marrakech World Para Athletics (WPA) Grand Prix is a crucial stepping stone for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The determination and skill displayed by the team have produced some medals for the country.
Zinabu Issah, who participated in discus and shot put, won two gold medals.
Edmund Govina also won a bronze medal in discus.
In sprinting and jumping events, Ghana’s Amos Ahiagah earned personal bests in the 100m and 400m races.
The team expressed their gratitude to Ghanaians for the support and is now promising to put in a lot of work as they prepare for Paris 2024.
The team is set to return to Accra on May 1st, 2024, with media engagements aimed at highlighting their achievements.
