UK for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a group associated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed optimism that the Vice President will take over the helm of affairs after President Akufo-Addo completes his second term.
A member of the group who doubles as the Youth Organiser for the NPP in South London, George Emil, said they are working to ensure that the former deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana is elected as President.
Speaking with Dr. Ren on Rainbow Radio 92.4 FM, UK, he declared that Dr. Bawumia would be sworn in as the next president of Ghana on January 7, 2025.
He described Dr. Bawumia as a candidate who has been widely accepted by Ghanaians because he is not only competent but also dedicated, credible, incorruptible, and has the interests of Ghanaians at heart.
He stated that the UK branch of the party has, since the presidential primary of the NPP, launched several activities to support the vice president to win the election on December 7, 2024.
“We are fully behind Dr. Bawumia. Dr. Bawumia will be sworn in as the President of Ghana on January 7, 2025. We are campaigning and supporting him to achieve this goal. He is widely accepted by Ghanaians. He is the preferred choice of voters.
We are working hard and smart to ensure that Dr. Bawumia wins in the December 7 presidential election.
He will be the next president and will build on President Akufo-Addo’s great achievements, ensuring Ghana’s continued development,” he stated.
