Hearts of Oak and Kotoko will never be relegated – Dan Quaye

May 7, 2024
Dan-Quaye

Dan Quaye, a former player who had a long and distinguished career with Accra Hearts of Oak, says his former team will never be relegated.

Although he admitted that their performance against their archrivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has been terrible in recent times, the two teams will never be relegated.

Speaking on Rainbow Sports, he said the quality of players in recent times has not been the best.

He noted that player selection has become like a business for some people, and so they are only focused on the percentage they will get from players instead of focusing on the quality of the players.

Dan Quaye posited that the team must go back to its glory days, where it performed so well with qualified and competent players.

He encouraged the players to do their best, go all out, and win their next matches, although it would not be easy for them.

When asked if he would be surprised if the team could go to relegation, he said, “It is impossible for Hearts of Oak and Kotoko to be relegated. It will never happen. These two teams will never be relegated. It is impossible. This is Ghana, and anything is possible. Whether rain or shine, Hearts of Oak will never be relegated. It would be difficult for Hearts of Oak or Kotoko to be relegated
