Premier League side Berekum Chelsea claims to be significantly superior to favorite Accra Hearts of Oak team.

The team has touted itself as a better side compared to Accra Hearts of Oak in recent times.

A communications team member of the team, Isaac Obeng, opined that Berekum Chelsea has better and quality players compared to the current players in Accra Hearts of Oak.

The team will host Accra Hearts of Oak in a crucial game today, Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

Isaac Obeng said his side was poised to secure victory over Accra Hearts of Oak and be awarded the maximum three points.

He was asked if the quality of players on his side were prepared to play against Accra Hearts of Oak team.

In his response, he said Berekum Chelsea, with the limited resources at its disposal, has managed to perform so well this season.

He said despite the huge resources at the disposal of their rivals, the Accra Hearts of Oak team has performed poorly and will stand no chance in defeating his side.

Speaking on Rainbow Sports on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he stated that Berekum Chelsea is a team that deserves all the respect that Accra Hearts of Oak receives from critics and analysts.

He extended gratitude to the management of the team, noting that it has done so well in managing the team.

He said their focus is to secure the maximum points, and from the current standings, they’re likely to emerge as the second-best team in the league.

He added that they would be content with the second position.

When asked if they were also prepared to play Kotoko after their game with Hearts of Oak, he said, “We are fully prepared for Kotoko. After our game with Hearts of Oak, we will have enough time to prepare against Kotoko. We are fully prepared to play against any team. We are not scared of any of the teams. We are fully prepared and will win against all the other teams we will meet.”

He shot down claims that they had gone to see a ‘juju man’ to help them win against their rivals.

“We have not gone to see any Juju man. We believe in the field of play. Secondly, our coach is a superior coach. He has brought dynamism to the team. He has brought several changes to the team and encouraged our players to perform at their best. The players are now doing their best. They have the spirit to win any game that they are confronted with. We have confidence in our team. We have the hope that, no matter the circumstances, we will defeat you. Even in the last dying minutes, we will defeat you no matter the number of goals you have secured against us.

On players, I don’t want to go there because we have far superior players. When it comes to comparison, we have more quality players than Accra Hearts of Oak. Accra Hearts of Oak has changed five goalkeepers, and yet our goalkeeper has been the same, and he is better than the current goalkeeper of Hearts of Oak. We have better strikers and defenders than Accra Hearts of Oak. We have the best.”
