The presidential candidate of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, responding to the arrest, said it would increase political tension in the country.

He demanded the release of the candidate, adding that there was a need for relevant stakeholders “to recognise that justice is not just a moral imperative but a crucial prerequisite for maintaining peace and stability in a nation.”

Naa Koryoo was released around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
