Baba Kushibo, the captain of Real Tamale United, has criticised the team’s management for weak leadership.
The players compalined bitterly with poor communication and lies on the part of management.
The situation he revealed has affected the team, creating confusion and tension.
Players he indicated have not been paid for months, and efforts to have them paid have proved futile.
The captain claimed that management continues to tell him that there is no money available to pay them, but he denied this, saying that various individuals and philanthropists have recently donated significant amounts of money to the club.
“To cut everything short, it is about money and poor management; people are not telling us the truth, and when that happens, things are not going to be stable. They keep telling us there is no money, but we are aware there is money.
Philanthropists and other well-wishers” have donated money to the team.
He continued, “We were not demanding all the arrears. We were just demanding that they give us a part of it. But that one too has become a problem. We told them about that before the Kotoko game.”
When asked if they would boycott their games, he said this has happened before, but they were willing to honour their games.
