It has emerged that Real Tamale United fielded unqualified players in their 8-1 defeat against Dreams FC.
The team registered new players for the Premier League game because their regular players didn’t travel because the club owes them arrears for months.
The player who did not travel with the RTU team was recorded to have scored the consolation goal for RTU.
Another player who was home in Tamale heard on the radio that he had been substituted for the final minutes.
All the RTU-registered players refused to travel for the game because they were owed six months and decided to boycott the match.
These players were represented as a real team and given the identity and jersey numbers of the original team.
The captain of RTU, who is in Tamale, was also recorded to have played the game in Dawu.
