Yaw Acheampong, the head coach of the Aduana Stars, says that winning the league was their goal, but a number of obstacles prevented it from happening.
He mentioned that despite their intense efforts, Samatex was able to win the league.
He said that Samatex had performed well this season and complimented them.
“I would want to commend Samatex for winning the league. They have performed so well this season. It was our objective to win the league this season, but we could not achieve our target.”
He noted that the squad had various hurdles this season, which may have contributed to their failure to win the league, but did not specify these challenges.
He stated that the Aduana Stars’ primary focus and next goal is to prepare for and win the league title the following season.
“We’re preparing for our final game of the season. Our current objective is to strengthen the team for the following season. We faced certain difficulties along the way, but I am not prepared to discuss them on the radio. I want to reassure you that we will be back stronger next season. As I previously stated, the goal was to win the league, but we were unable to achieve it.
My boys have done exceptionally well. We had various hurdles, and I am confident that if the challenges had not existed, we would have won the league. We will work on them and ensure that we do not have similar issues again, so that things are stable for us. I can tell you that the story will be different next season.”
