The management of Ghana Airports Company Limited has declared that the new terminal building at Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi will be operational on Monday, July 1, 2024.
As part of preparations to ensure a smooth transition from the old terminal to the new terminal building, the company, in collaboration with stakeholders, will conduct a series of subsystem simulations.
This would be followed by two (2) full-scale integrated simulations of all processes and systems in the new terminal building from June 25th, 2024, to June 30th, 2024.
A statement issued by the company explained that the objective of the simulations is to ensure that all systems, equipment, and staff are fully prepared to operate efficiently and effectively.
It is also to help them manage the risks associated with the transfer of operations from the old terminal to the new terminal building.
