Team Eternity was accused of using portions of an existing song, also titled “Defe Defe,” originally released 20 years ago by Hallelujah Voices.

Kwame Micky had lamented that the group failed to obtain permissions from the copyright holders.

He also threatened legal action should the music group fail to do the right thing.
After several negotiations, the two parties have reached an agreement.

Under this agreement, Kwame Mickey grants TEG the non-exclusive right to use specific words from the original song in their new version of “Defe Defe.”
