Communications team member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Sosu, says Ghanaians are no longer interested in the lies and propaganda by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said the ruling NPP can tickle themselves, laugh, and be moving around with their slogan of breaking the eight-year-jinx, but by the time the last ballot is counted and declared, they will know their smoothness level.
The NDC communicator alleged that some NPP members want the party booted out of office because they have messed up the country.
He said, these party members kept urging the NDC to put its house in order and campaign, so they can boot out the party because it had failed to deliver on the promises it made to Ghanaians.
He noted that the level of economic hardship has made it difficult for Ghanaians to even afford a two-square meal a day.
Mr. Sosu said, “So if you think you can move around and peddle falsehoods and lies so that Ghanaians will vote for you, then you have to think twice about that. Ghanaians have seen through the lies and are ready to bite. Ghanaians want a better standard of living; they want access to affordable healthcare and stability.
If you are unable to do these things for them, then you will be voted out. Even some NPP members have told the NDC to kick the NPP out of office because the party has messed up the economy. Everyone is aware that Ghana progresses more when the NDC is in power,” he said on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM.
He stressed that it is not the lies that the NPP will peddle that will make Ghanaians make a choice over who to govern them.
“The NPP had no interest in managing the economy. Their interest was to win power and amass wealth for themselves and their cronies. They are currently milking the country and stealing left, right and centre. Ghana is like a breast, and they have milked the breast to the point that the breast is now flat.”
