General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Kwetey, has slammed the governing New Patriotic Party, saying their manifesto is not anchored on sound principles, including truth.
He argued that if it were making promises that lacked sound principles, the NPP would have won the contest.
He stated that the NPP took over a strong economy from the NDC but destroyed it.
The chief scribe said the NPP, after destroying the economy, is now making claims that it took over a bad economy.
“When you say one village, one dam, and you know you do not have the capacity, that is deception. Our policies are anchored on principles—the principle of respect for the people. We left behind a manufacturing sector that was wrong—two oil fields, a strong cocoa sector.”
“If the NDC competes with the NPP based on promises alone, we will naturally lose,” Mr. Kwetey remarked.
He added that a party with honour does not make promises merely for the sake of winning votes. Instead, the NDC is committed to policies that are both deliverable and inspired by strong principles, aiming to serve the people of Ghana with integrity.
