The company contracted to supply and distribute laptop computers to teachers under the government’s One Teacher – One Laptop programme, KA Technologies, says it has completed its work.
This was contained in a statement issued by the company.
It said that 300, 000 teachers working under the Ghana Education Service (GES) received the laptops.
The laptops were given to the teachers to help digitalise teaching and enhance research among educators.
The company also indicated that it has established 24/7 Aftercare Centres across the country, ensuring continuous customer and technical support for teachers.
It commended the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT), stakeholders, the government, the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service, and the regulatory institutions for working to ensure a successful execution.
The statement read, “We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the nationwide supply, training, and subsequent distribution of Computer Laptops to qualified teachers (Kindergarten, Primary, Junior and Senior High Schools), teachers on-study leave and non-teaching Staff under the Ghana Education Service (GES)”.
“Our user-friendly Katcare App allows the booking of repair services and the purchase of Laptop accessories. Teachers may also call toll-free line 0800790555 to report any complaints or enquiries”, the statement added.
“As a local firm, we are indeed gratified to have contributed towards the delivery of digital-aided advancement in teaching in Ghana and remain committed to leapfrogging technology to transform all sectors of the Ghanaian economy,” the statement concluded.
