Hassan Ayariga, the presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC), has appealed to Ghanaian voters to vote massively for him as the next president come December 7, 2024.
The aspiring president disputed assertions that a vote for him and his party will be a wasted vote.
He argued that if Ghanaians vote for him and ignore the NDC and NPP, his party will win the elections.
Mr. Ayariga positions the APC as a vibrant option for Ghanaians eager for change, inviting citizens to empower the APC as a robust third force, capable of transforming the country’s political narrative.
“Make us the third force because we are the third force for you. You can’t sit down and think that the third force must come automatically. The third force can only come when you make that decision,” he said during the unveiling of the party’s presidential running mate on Wednesday, September 4.
“But every time we keep saying if I vote for Hassan Ayariga, I’m wasting my vote. Who said so? If you vote for Hassan Ayariga and the APC, the NDC will not win and the NPP will also not win, and we would have to go for a second round,” he said.
“You know why? Because the NPP will never endorse the NDC in the second round. That will never happen in this country. Likewise, the NDC will never endorse the NPP in the second round.
“So if we are in the second round and we are going with either NPP or NDC, we will become the government of the day,” he said.
