In an official statement, the police disclosed that they have launched a manhunt for Oliver Barker-Vormawor, one of the leaders of the protest, along with others involved in acts of lawlessness.

The demonstrators were accused of blocking roads, dismantling police barriers, and causing significant disruptions to traffic in the area.

The lawyer was seen in a viral video taking a key from a police vehicle and throwing it away before fleeing the scene.

He was also seen in another video toppling police barricades without provocation, a situation that the police say escalated tensions between the protesters and law enforcement.

But responding in a Facebook post, the lawyer said he was prepared to meet the police in the company of his lawyers.

He has also asked the police and the eight-year-old minor it has in its custody since the parents were worried.

He further asked the service to show them the whereabouts of 15 others who were arrested.
