The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has suspended its planned nationwide strike action.
CLOGSAG suspended the suspension following an intervention from the National Labour Commission (NLC).
The Association on September 17, 2024, informed the NLC that it will embark on a strike action starting September 25, 2024, over conditions of service.
But CLOGSAG, in a statement issued on September 24, directed all regional secretariats to halt activities related to the intended strike.
According to CLOGSAG, the NLC had responded to their notice by inviting CLOGSAG executives to a meeting to discuss the issue.
It asked the members to comply with the notice and assured them that any further developments would be communicated.
