The managers of Bawumia’s campaign are not answering their calls and being arrogant—NPP UK

September 25, 2024

Chairman of the UK branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kingsley Adumattah Agyapong, otherwise known as Wofa K, has taken a swipe at the campaign team of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He lamented that persons handling the campaign of Dr. Bawumia are not responding to calls or any other communication.

Wofa K said he should have been in Ghana to join the campaign like he had done in previous elections; however, the behaviour of those managing the Bawumia campaign is pushing some individuals away from the campaign.

He advised that the campaign strategy of the party should be to appeal or apologise to the people and explain why the NPP should be the best and only alternative to managing the country.

Speaking in an interview on ‘As it is in Ghana’ in the UK on Rainbow Radio 92.4FM, he stated that the campaign team ought to open up and stop the exhibition of the arrogance.

He said people were so fed up because some appointees are so arrogant, lack respect for the people, and will create problems for the NPP.

He told host Sir Richie that some of the NPP members, particularly those who get the opportunity to serve, are so arrogant and wicked, and so people are fed up supporting the party.

He condemned the behaviour of those behind the campaign team, stressing the need for them to change immediately.

Using himself as an example, he said members of the NPP from across the globe will attest to his good human relations to the point of returning every single call from members regardless where they are located.

“As I speak to you, some of the individuals supporting Dr. Bawumia do not answer their phones, and I will condemn that every time I mount platform. Nobody on earth, and by that I mean not simply NPP UK, but the entire world, including those calling from Ghana, the United Kingdom, South Africa, America, Holland, Belgium, and elsewhere. If I don’t answer the phone, I will call back.

Everybody will attest to this. I will not use your platform to peddle lies. We need to change. You want me to vote for you, but when I call, you don’t pick up my calls, and yet you claim to be campaigning. What are you taking about? This is purely a sickness, and we need to cure it immediately.”

I have a lot to say to change the minds of the voters to vote for Dr. Bawumia. I should have been in Ghana’ to support the campaign, but I am still in the UK, and you would ask yourself why?”

He wondered why the campaign team has been selective and refusing to pump money into areas that really needed the money for the campaign activities.

“My type of communication is not the normal communication of the NPP and NDC. I speak to the people and tell them what is at stake. If I don’t need it, I need the money. I just want to do the work. I just want to convince the people. I want to speak to the people to know what is at stake because after winning the elections and there is the need to criticise my own party and government, I will do so.”
