Former Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu has warned Ghanaians against voting for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He said a vote for the NDC and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, will affect the progress and completion of the Agenda 111 hospital projects.
He noted that the government remains committed to the projects; however, it may not complete all of them, but quickly added that some of the hospitals would be commissioned before the general elections.
To help ensure the hospital projects continue, are completed, and are commissioned, Ghanaian voters must vote massively for the NPP and candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, he said.
He was speaking during a campaign activity in Dormaa Central, where he represents the people as their Member of Parliament.
‘’Our expectation is that some of the Agenda 111 hospitals would be commissioned before the general elections. The truth is that I have toured the project sites, and I would want to state that we cannot complete these projects before December. I speak the truth all the time because, after completing the projects, you would have to bring in the equipment. We are working on the equipment for the facilities. That is why I am appealing to Ghanaians not to vote for Mahama. If you vote for John Mahama, we will not know the state of the Agenda 111 hospitals. The projects will stall if you vote for John Mahama. The contractors are still working. We will not be able to complete them, but I am optimistic that we will make significant progress,’’ he added.
