A 50-year-old pastor has allegedly beheaded his 46-year-old wife on a cassava farm at Trabuom in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.
The pastor, Pastor Victor Appiah, is the End Time Rapture Family Church’s founder and general overseer. He lured her to the farm and allegedly severed her head.
According to emerging details, the pastor had a quarrel with the wife, who left and returned to her family house, but the pastor returned to plead to the family to enable the wife to return to her matrimonial home.
Akua Emelia, the wife, accepted the apology and went to her matrimonial, but unknown to her, the husband had plotted to end her life.
Agya Kwaku Nimo, reporting on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, stated the pastor instructed the wife to collect cassava from their farm for food. While at the farm the pastor allegedly ambushed and attacked her with a machete on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
After allegedly committing the crime, the pastor called the mother of the deceased and told her to come for her remains.
He then consumed a substance suspected to be a poison to end his life, the reporter added.
He stated that the two left behind a child who is now seven years old.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
