Don’t allow these greedy, corrupt, and incompetent politicians to use you for violence -Musician

October 9, 2024
OD44

Ghanaian musician Mavluz, formerly known as OD4, has asked the Ghanaian youth not to allow themselves to be used by politicians for their selfish interests in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

The young versatile musician said as the election approaches, some politicians would want the youth to do their violent bidding, hence will try and lure them to engage in lawlessness for the quest for power.

He has released a new track advocating for peace ahead of the December 7, 2024, general elections.

He revealed that he was inspired to release the peace track to address the youth of Ghana to stay away from all forms of violent activities.

He noted that some politicians fail to deliver on their promises, yet when election season arrives, they return to incite the youth to engage in potentially destructive actions.

‘’The reason I released this new track is because I have realised that there are some of the politicians from both sides of the divide who fail to deliver on their mandate, and yet when it was time for us to vote and elect new leaders, they would want to instigate activities that will push the youth into engaging in lawlessness. As Ghanaians, we have to be wise and allow any politician to give you money and engage in lawlessness. The outcome of these violent activities will affect you too. The possibility is that you may have an opportunity to escape, but your mother or any other close relative may fall victim. So don’t go and start anything violent,’’ he said in an interview on the midmorning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM.

He stressed that these politicians who ask the youth to engage in lawlessness will never ask their children and other relatives to engage in such acts.

‘’We have to be wise and refuse to allow any politician to give us something little to be lawless. That’s why I said in the chorus that when you are assaulted and become incapacitated, the MP, politician, and others who asked you to engage in the violent act will no longer pay attention to you. Be wise and stay away from such politicians. If there is a violent incident in the country, you may not be able to travel abroad like the politician and the family.
